Meet Ellery, my niece. She likes to eat. The other Sunday we had ribs at my parents house. She kept trying to eat my ribs instead of her own food so finally I put a whole plate in front of her. As you can see, she enjoyed them thoroughly.
I chopped off my hair. The long hair was driving me crazy! Especially since school has started and I don't have as much time in the mornings. My goal was to wait until after my school pictures, which are on Oct. 2.... Brandon thinks I'm crazy but here is my reasoning...
My first year I had long hair for my pictures.... my second year I had short hair.... last year, my third year, I had long hair again.... are you seeing the pattern? So I didn't want to keep this "long, short, long, short" thing going on... thus, I wanted to keep the hair long for at least 2 years in a row. Again, Brandon thought that was the stupidest thing he'd ever heard.... You might too, but it makes total sense in my crazy mind.
Obviously I broke. I couldn't take it any longer and I had my sister, Abbie, cut it a couple of weeks ago. BEST thing I ever did!!! It's so much easier... although I still seem to drag in late to work every morning.
Oh, and did I mention Brandon's considering a new hairstyle? Here are my favorites.I think he really loves this one!!!
Disclaimer: Brandon does not approve of this post.
Meggie (my neice) and I had birthday's last month so I thought I'd post some pictures. I took half a day off so Brandon and I could spend a little time together. We went out to lunch then ran errands. We both got new driver's licenses, I changed my name at the credit union and got a CUTE new debit card. It sounds boring but it was exactly what I wanted to do... I felt so productive! We also checked out the new Mexican Market on State Street. That night we had a "party" with my family. The day was exactly what I wanted it to be!
Here are a few pictures from both birthday's. Of course it's not a party without a pinata!
Oh, and don't think I'm leaving out Brandon... his birthday was in July but for some reason I don't have any pictures from it on my computer and it's just not a blog without pictures!
Finally, after 4 weeks without a car, we found one!!! Yeah!!!
So, I really really wanted a PT Cruiser but Brandon said absolutely not. It took a little convincing but he agreed that if he got the truck he wanted then I could have the car I wanted. We found a turbo charged PT convertible that Brandon especially liked! We were still waiting on our settlement check and in the meantime we test drove a Mitsubishi Outlander... I loved it. Sigh, the anxiety rose as I had to decide between the two cars.
One would be my fun car. When else in my life will I be able to have a convertible??? But the other car was so practical! AAHH!! I couldn't decide.
Turns out I didn't have to. The convertible sold the next day and so we decided on the Outlander.
The most important thing is that I have a car!!!!!! It has been such a rollercoaster trying to get everything settled and worked out!
